What an incredible Art Deco snake this is, with opal gemstone eyes and a most delightful face!
It's a good wearable size for a slim arm and is in good antique condition. Designed to be worn as an arm bangle, this was the height of fashion during the Art Deco flapper era! However it could also be worn just below the elbow or on the wrist, depending on your measurements.
The snake head has beautiful gold work with scrolling details, and a cross hatch snake scale pattern. There are some very minor dings around the bangle, and an old repair to the back of the snakes head mentioned for accuracy.
The opal eyes remain in very good antique condition with only age appropriate wear. The bangle also comes with the original blue suede pouch, labelled for H. Wolf, 7 Piccadilly Manchester.
A truly wonderful piece of history we simply do not come across very often anymore. This has been very well cared for, but will need to be worn carefully and treated with respect.
