This is a stunning early Victorian amethyst 9 carat gold foliate pendant created by our Goldsmith from an antique brooch. This has five faceted oval amethyst gemstones in a detailed setting with ornate cannetille thread work, scroll and foliate designs typical of the late Georgian to early Victorian era.
 
The larger oval amethyst measures 6x4mm and the smaller ones are 3x2mm. The gemstones are a beautiful light puurple colour with pink overtones and are in good condition free from chips and cracks. They are most likely foil backed and are in closed back settings.
 
The pendant measures 27mm in drop, 20x15mm in size and weighs 2.3 grams. I would date this pendant to Circa 1800-1850 by design and the components, and the condition is excellent antique.
