An exquisite 5 stone Edwardian claw set emerald , old cut diamond and 18 carat gold ring. It is a beautiful ring with 2 emerald cut stones that are well matched for colour. They are a vibrant shade and there are three bright old cut diamonds set between them.
The condition is excellent antique. The gemstones are in very good condition, with just minor age related wear, and of excellent quality, with the emeralds measuring 3x2.8mm in size. The old cut diamonds measures 3mm in the centre and 2.5mm at the sides. The diamonds are bright and lively being of good clarity and colour, and the total gemstone weight is approximately 0.80 carat or 80 points.
The ring is fully hallmarked crown 18 for 18 carat gold, London assay office and date letter P for 1910. It has a design of hand carved scroll work across the bridge and shoulders. The head of the ring spreads over 15mm by 4.5mm giving good finger coverage, and sits 4mm high when worn.
