Antique Edwardian micro mosaic button stud set 9 carat gold original fitted box

Here we have a gorgeous set of six micro mosaic floral buttons or studs. They are beatifully made, with three of the same design and three different. I would say the flowers are roses, forget me knots and daisies and the detail is remarkable. They are set and backed in 9 carat gold.
 
We had planned to make pendants and earrings from these, but when we saw the set we wanted to offer it as a whole first.
 
The set is complete, and comes in its original antique fitted box which is blue leather with gold tooling, and a cream velvet interior.
 
There are some age related nibbles to the edges of the onyx as clearly photographed, but all the mosaic is complete. There is some wear to the lid of the box but the interior is in good condition.
 
The maker is Longman and Strongitharm, Waterloo Place, Pall Mall London. The outside of the box is printed E.E.B from H.S.M. 23rd July 1910. What a wonderful gift!
