Antique Victorian amethyst pearl halo pendant 9 carat gold
Era: Victorian 1837-1901
Metal: 9 carat gold
Gemstone: Amethyst, pearl
Weight: 10.8 grams
Drop: 38mm
A rare and stunning mid Victorian circa 1850-60 amethyst and pearl 9 carat gold pendant created from a brooch conversion. This exquisite piece of jewellery is mid Victorian era, and our goldsmith/gemmologist has assessed this piece and confirmed the gold and the gemstones.
It is set in 9 carat yellow gold, tested and confirmed and is unmarked. The pendant measures 27mm by 22mm and drops to 38mm with the loop, weighing a total of 10.8 grams. The centre is a beautiful, 13 carat amethyst of very good colour that measures 18.5mm by 13.5mm, 10mm deep and set in a bezel with mill grain edge. Surrounding this are 20 white with gold overtone natural pearls in good condition that measure 3mm in diameter and are crimped collet set.
The pendant is open backed and we have removed the brooch pin and added a gold matched loop ready to wear on a chain. In excellent condition for its age, this is a gorgeous Victorian piece cleverly adapted for more modern wear but retaining the original look.
It will be presented in our vintage style luxury packaging with care card and description, and delivered by a tracked, and insured method. Stock no: 1737
