An eye catching Belle Epoque era antique five stone claw set sapphire and diamond ring, in a cross shape. The head of the ring holds two sparkly 4mm old mine cut diamonds in claw settings. The central sapphire measures approximately 5x4mm, with two further sapphires at 4x3mm each.
The total diamond weight is 50 points or 0.50 carat, and the sapphires total 95 points or 0.95 carat. The diamonds are well matched, in good condition, a bright colour at F and good clarity at VS. The sapphires are a beautiful mid blue.
Please remember gemstones are very difficult to give an accurate carat weight and assessment of colour and clarity when already set and this is only an approximate guide. The ring is a beautiful buttery yellow gold and is stamped 18ct and has been checked by our goldsmith.
It is a substantial ring at a weight of 2.6 grams, the head of the ring spreads over 13mm by 12mm and sits 5mm above the finger when worn. This ring would make a lovely vintage engagement, eternity or dress ring if you love this era. The condition is excellent with only expected antique wear to the band, which is still sturdy.
It measures a size UK O.5, USA 7.25 and EU 55.5, although this could be sized to fit you. Please remember that rings that have been resized cannot be returned to us.
