A stunning and eye catching Victorian antique emerald, old mine and cushion cut diamond, 18 carat gold navette shape ring. This gorgeous ring dates to circa 1860-80 and is a classic but rare design of that time. It is accompanied by a certificate from the Gem & Pearl labroratory, certifying that the central stone is a Natural Colombian Emerald.
 
The head of the ring holds a beautiful emerald cut, Colombian Emerald, with only minor evidence of clarity enhancement. The centre Emerald is slightly raised, measures approximately 6.5x6mm, giving a weight of approximately 1.0 carats. The colour is an excellent vivid green with a good clarity, and only extremely minor wear to table and facet edges seen with a loupe.
 
There are two principle cushion cut diamonds of 3x3.2mm each and two old cut diamonds of 2mm each in size. I estimate the carat weight of the diamonds to be approximately 0.5 carats, but this is an approximate as measured in setting. The diamonds are lively, in excellent condition, a good bright white colour and good clarity being eye clean with a x10 magnifying eye glass.
 
Please note, the certificate is an origin report for the Emerald only and therefore does not provide assessment on the other gemstones in the ring, which is why the Diamonds have been labelled as colourless stones. Please be assured they are in fact Diamonds.
