Antique Victorian Garnet, turquoise and pearl necklace 9 carat gold

The centrepiece of this necklace is rather old, dating to the early victorian era or possibly earlier, it started life most likely as another form of decorative adornment.
 
When we found it, it was in rather a sorry state, but we thought the central Garnet was so magical that we have refurbished it, replacing several turquoise and adding a fine 9 carat Gold chain, so that it may be worn now as a necklace.
 
The whole piece is closed back and the stones are all bezel set, with the bottom pearl adding movement. The chain makes 18" of wearable length.
