A useful medium weight Victorian gold ridged belcher link chain, marked 9c on the tag. It has a barrel clasp closure. It has a yellow tone and has most likely been flashed with high carat Gold to achieve this colour.
 
There is some very minor wear appropriate to age, but nothing of any note, and the barrel clasp closes well.
