A stunning Victorian carved red coral and gold double row necklace. These lovely pieces were made popular during the Grand Tour era, in which they were brought back as gifts.
This one closes with a pearl set rock crystal box clasp and is confirmed as 9 carat gold. The condition is very good antique and the clasp closes well. There is just visible a tiny amount of golden hair in the clasp, and the necklace has been restrung and is ready to wear. A beautiful example of this type of necklace.
